What's Your Style?

Your wedding day hair should complement your personal style as well as the style of your wedding.

Stick to a hairstyle that your comfortable with and is a good representation of you!

Don't dramatically change your look!

It is important to make sure that I get a clear picture of your wedding and your personal style

But don't worry i'm good at that!

How do you normally wear your hair?

How do you normally wear your hair?

Maybe you wear your hair in a certain style every day, do you always wear your hair down?  Then maybe your more comfortable with your hair styled down.  Always wear it half up or all up?... or mix it up!  Maybe your not afraid to try different hairstyles up or down

What style of wedding are you having

What style of wedding are you having

This normally goes hand in hand with the location for example, if your having a barn wedding you would be having a relaxed rustic wedding and maybe want a more relaxed hairstyle with flowers as to a traditional wedding in a church you may want a more traditional hairstyle with a tiara and veil.  Maybe you have a certain vintage style!

The Location of Your Wedding

The Location of Your Wedding

If your getting married on a beach or outside take into consideration how windy it may be!  Although the thought of free flowing hair in the wind is lovely the wind will ruin your styled locks!  I suggest securely styled up or down to the side or pinned back coming down your back.

What is your wedding dress like?

What is your wedding dress like?

Think about the cut of your dress Is it strapless?  Wearing your hair half up or styled down is a good option.  Bateau/boat neck or Illusion? All up would be a good choice to show off the dress What is the back like?  Do you want your hair up to show off the back? Do you want to show off the straps? You can think of half up or all up What material is your dress?  Lace or tule? A soft hairstyle would look great!  Satin ...a classic more polished look would be better!

Veil

Veil

How long is your veil? Finger tip and elbow length can be worn nearer the nape of the neck to show off your wedding hair or on the crown area showing the hair style underneath.  Do you plan to wear your veil all day?  If you want to take your veil off, think about maybe having something to replace it with perhaps a lovely hair comb! (Unless its a Cathedral veil,  as these tend to be placed nearer the top of the head and are not kept in all day.  Plus you may already a hair comb/tiara in)

Flower girls

Flower girls

Young flower girls have such cute natural hair! A high bun always looks adorable!  Things to keep in mind are children are not good at sitting still to get any sort of intricate hair styles done and tend to pull or manage to mess the hairstyle before your out the door.  Children with long and thick hair may not hold a curl very well however will look great in a braid! Finer hair will suit curls rather then pleats. Think about adding a flower hair band/clips to help create a flower girl look!

Bridesmaids

Bridesmaids

Same rules apply as before but here's a few more to think about: Do you want to stand out from the bridesmaids? Maybe you want all the bridesmaid's hair to be up and yours to be down, Maybe you want your maid of honor to have a sightly different style to the rest of the bridal party? Do you want your bridesmaids to have the same hair style? That is in uniform to each other but adapted to their hair type and face shape.  Maybe you are happy for them to choose their own hairstyle

Mother of the Bride/Groom

Mother of the Bride/Groom

Most mother of the brides like to wear amazing big hat or  some kind of hair piece.  A nice blow dry, curls, half up or styled to the side are all popular go to hairstyles.
